Andrew J. Carlson, M.D.

Dr. Carlson was born and raised in Milford and is a graduate of Joseph A. Foran High School and Cornell University in Ithaca, NY.  He graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in Farmington, CT.  Dr. Carlson's Residency was at the Connecticut Children's Medical Center at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine where he was the Chief Resident in Pediatrics.  Dr. Carlson is board certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics and has been a member of the practice since 2002.  He is very active in the local area coaching several youth sports teams, serving on the executive board of the Woodruff YMCA in Orange, and is active on the board of directors of the Connecticut chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.   Dr. Carlson also serves as a school and team physician for Hopkins School in New Haven as well as the Foran High School Football team physician.  He and his wife, Dr. Elise Carlson, have two children which keep them busy helping with all of their activities.  Dr. Carlson is also an avid fly fisherman, wood turner/ pen maker, and photographer.


Pei Juan Salerno, MD


Dr. Lei was married in July of 2016 and recently changed her last name to Salerno.

Dr. Salerno joined our practice on July 28, 2014.  Dr. Salerno is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.  She is a New York City native who, early on, developed an interest in Pediatrics and Business. Dr. Salerno graduated from New York University in 2006 earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance. In 2011, she graduated from the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University of New York at Buffalo.  Dr. Salerno completed her Pediatric Residency at Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital in June 2014. During her time in residency, Dr. Salerno was selected as co-chair of the General Pediatrics Group. As a result of her work, Dr. Salerno was recognized by the Gold Humanism Society for her compassion and dedication to her patients. At her graduation, Dr. Salerno was chosen by her colleagues to receive the Morris Y. Krosnick Award for exemplifying both kindness and commitment to her patients. Dr. Salerno is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Medical Association.  Dr. Salerno enjoys hiking, running and country music.  In addition, she likes to travel and experience new cultures and cuisines.  Dr. Salerno looks forward to playing an active role in the community and is eager to provide compassionate and professional medical care to our patients and their families.  



James L. Morgan, M.D.

Dr. Morgan joined the practice in 1989. He grew up in Virginia and moved to Connecticut after graduating from the Medical College of Virginia and completed his residency and chief residency at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. He has a special interest in youth sports and sports injuries. Dr. Morgan serves as a school and team physician for Hopkins School in New Haven and helps staff the first aid station at Okemo Mountain Ski Resort in Vermont. He also goes to Haiti annually with two organizations Haiti Maycare (www.haitimaycare.org)  and Espwa (Espwa.com) ) and provides medical care to the children of that impoverished nation. In his free time, you can usually find him fishing, biking, snow skiing, or water skiing.


Elizabeth A. Wiesner, M.D.

Dr. Wiesner has been a member of the practice since 1983.  She is a graduate of Harvard University and Case Western Reserve School ofMedicine.  Dr. Wiesner was an Intern and Resident at the Yale University School of Medicine.  She was also a Fellow in Adolescent Medicine at Yale.  Dr. Wiesner is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Yale University School of Medicine and, with her husband, is the author of A Practical Guide to Autism, What Every Parent, Family Member, and Teacher Needs to Know.  When not at work, Dr. Wiesner likes to spend her time outside, especially with her dogs, gardening, kayaking or just walking.


Marie F. Robert, M.D.

Dr. Robert has been a member of the practice since 1986.  She is a graduate of McGill University School of Medicine in Montreal, Quebec.  Dr. Robert was a Resident at Children's Hospital Medical Center in Boston, MA and a Fellow at Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA.  She was a Fellow in Allergy/Immunology at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, CT.  Dr. Robert is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. 


Matthew Finn, MD

Dr. Finn is a graduate of Brown University with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology.  in 2014, Dr. Finn graduated from the Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans.  He completed his Pediatric Residency at Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital in June of 2017.  During his Residency, Dr. Finn received the Morris Y. Krosnick, MD Award for Dedication, Compassion and Caring.  Dr. Finn is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.    While in New Orleans, Dr. Finn volunteered with various charitable organizations.  He currently resides with his wife and two children in New Haven.  Dr. Finn is accepting new patients and will be participating in the practice's after hours call and rounding on patients at the Yale-New Haven Hospital.


Elyse Borsuk, ARPN, CPNP

Elyse has worked in pediatrics all of her career starting off as a Registered Nurse at NYU Medical Center in New York City and then the Neonatal intensive care unit at Yale-New Haven Hospital.  She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Nursing from the State University of New York at Binghamton and a Master of Science in Nursing (Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Program) from Yale University School of Nursing. Elyse has been a pediatric nurse practitioner since 1990 and has worked in a variety of settings with all ages of children and their families. Including private practice, school based health, and community health clinics.


Elyse has been a member of the practice since 1998.  Her special areas of interest include adolescent medicine, developmental/behavioral pediatrics and lactation counseling for our nursing mothers.  She is on the faculty at the Yale School of  Nursing, both as a lecturer and a preceptor. Elyse is currently editing a chapter on Pediatric Primary Care in the Lippincott Manual of Nursing Practice.  She is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Associates and Practitioners and is been a member of their Adolescent Health Care focus group.

Personally, Elyse is the mother of two grown children. She is an avid knitter, enjoys cooking and is developing her photography skills.  In her free time, you can find Elyse and her husband hiking, visiting vineyards, traveling and trying different international recipes.


Sarah Halloran, PA-C

Sarah is a Physician Assistant and joined our practice on January 3rd.  She brings nearly nine years of diverse experience.  Having graduated from the University of Florida in 2005 with a BS in Food Science and Human Nutrition, Sarah moved to North Carolina and worked for the American Red Cross.  She has a master’s degree in medical science from Yale University and a Physician Associate master’s degree.  Sarah has been board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) since 2009.

Sarah’s past experience includes family medicine and internal medicine, as well as pediatric and adult urgent care.  She has worked in an underserved community for the last two years and has gained tremendous insight into the importance of a dedicated pediatric group to care for the children in our community.  Sarah is excited to join our group and continue our tradition of excellent and compassionate patient care.

Sarah lives in Black Rock with her dog, Vela, and enjoys fall days on Saint Mary’s and hiking in local parks.  In winter months, you will catch her on the slopes.
